2005 PRESS RELEASE:
"Lluvioso
y caliente en de costa de España... "
...And so begins
MJTaylor's debut single, Loita De España, a Spanish-themed
summer song with multi-lingual lyrics that is sure to inspire
many lazy afternoons around buckets of Coronas.
"It's
raining and hot on the coast of Spain," he sings, utilising
his traveller's Spanish as best he can. "In my sleep
I dream of you, and wake up a happy man... Sueño
de tu, I dream of you."
MJ
learnt the language while living in the Catalan province
for six months on a working holiday. He fell in love with
the country and a girl named Loita, after whom the song
is named.
It's
been many years since MJ returned from the country where
he first started performing, and he's now ready to share
his Spanish tune with an Australian audience.
He's
a 26-year old musician from Torquay on the Surf Coast of
Victoria. His atmospheric and resonant acoustic tunes define
seaside living, and his distinctive rough-yet-resonant vocals
create an original and captivating style.
This
song is being released as an internet-only single to be
given away through MJ's website. In an age where record
companies are struggling to compete with downloading, independent
artists are embracing it as a tool to connect directly with
fans.
Anyone
and everyone is invited to visit the website, download the
song, share it with friends and enjoy it as an ode to summer.
